The Point Load Test Machine is used to determine the strenght
values of a rock and concrete specimen both in the field
and in the laboratory. It consist of a load frame for applying
loads up to 50 kN, on whitch a manual hydraulic jack mounted.
The Instrument accpets core specimens up to 4″ (101,6 mm)
diameter whitch are loaded by two cone shaped points. A
graduated scale indicates the distance between the conical points.
The applied load is measured by a pressure tranducer with
a digital display unit ranger 0-50 kN.
